Patient Notice

To the patients of Davenport House Surgery, The Elms Medical Practice and The Village Surgery,

You may have seen on the news that from Monday the 17th May GP practices will be ‘reopening’. As you will know our three GP practices have been open throughout the pandemic, offering telephone appointments and face to face appointments for those who need them.

In order to maintain social distancing and infection control in line with the Government guidelines, we will be asking all patients to continue using the current methods to access surgeries. All of our surgeries operate intercom systems where you can speak directly to reception, who will monitor the number of patients in the waiting room at all times.

As we await further national guidance on how we can safely allow more patients into surgeries, we ask that patients continue to contact us by phone or online as you have been doing. We are facing unprecedented demands for our services and will need to continue to adjust how we use our clinicians’ time to best support our patients – particularly those who need us the most.

We will keep you updated as soon as we are clear about how we can re-open our reception areas safely.

Thank you for your support,
Harpenden Health Primary Care Network

14.05.2021 - In line with the New NHSE Guidance on access to General Practice we are increasing our face to face consultations

and working hard to meet the increased demand at present.

We are currently reviewing the provision of online consultations.
